Five Things That Sky-Rocketed Our Business Success

Our business celebrated its fifth birthday this month, and I’ve learned more in these last five years – about business and about myself – than I ever thought possible.

Starting your own business sounds exciting….and it is. But it’s tough, too – and there are endless lessons to learn along the way.

Whatever stage you’re at – whether you’re thinking of starting a business, you’re up and running with your company, or you’ve been doing it for years – the lessons just keep coming.

Now more than ever, I embrace those learnings and feel immense gratitude for them.

So here are the top 5 lessons I’ve learned since our business launched 5 years ago.

1- Always Have A Clear Vision:

Vision is the triggering mechanism of our motivational intelligence, and it’s where it all begins. Without vision, people will stay locked in the same place, unable to move forward. Vision is where it started for us as children when we saw the potential to learn to walk and talk, and it is where it begins for us as adults and as business leaders.

2- Be Fully Committed:

You cannot achieve anything significant in this world without laser focus and absolute commitment to yourself and your business. This is hard but so important – never lose sight of why you are doing what you are doing and always keep moving forward.

3- Know Your Numbers:

If you don’t know your numbers, you don’t know your business – and a small leak can indeed sink a vast ship. Understanding your finances is essential because it can help you make informed decisions that have the potential to make a significant impact on your business, your growth, and your profits.

4- Have Clear Systems And Processes:

Document everything you do and how you do it, no matter how small or insignificant you think it may be. This will help you put the systems and processes in place to give you more time to focus on your business growth.

5- Outsource And Delegate:

At the start of our journey, we tried to do everything ourselves sometimes; we didn’t have a choice, but there was simply no substitute for getting help from the experts. The sooner you can outsource the jobs you need support for, the better. BUT always do your due diligence before you commission work and get agreements in writing.

There is a great quote by author Napoleon Hill,

I genuinely believe you set the foundations for a wildly successful business by ensuring these five things are in place.

There is way more lesson, but those would have to be my top 5 at this time.

Because of everything we’ve learned along the way, The Power Within Training & Development continues to thrive and reach goal after goal.

Our first-hand business experience coupled with the knowledge & expertise from decades in our previous careers means we are better placed than ever to help other businesses and leaders do the same.

Now we help take the trial and error out of the process for business owners and leaders by assisting them to put in place the vital success pillars needed for any business to achieve its goals.

We teach things that work…..and we know they work because we use them ourselves….and we’ve built our business around them too.
